WHEREAS, there exists sewer utility rates for the users in the Richmond Sanitary
District ( "District ") as set forth in Resolution No. 19 -1994, as amended on November 14, 1995
and June 8, 2004 by the Board of Sanitary Commissioners ( "Board ") and approved by Ordinance
Nos. 93 -1995 and 46 -2004 of the Common Council of the City of Richmond ( "City "); and
WHEREAS, the Board for the District has caused studies to be prepared which reveal an
increase in the sewer utility rates is necessary for the construction of additions and
improvements, as well as, continued maintenance and operation of the District in its collection,
treatment and disposal of waste and sewage into the District's treatment works facility; and
WHEREAS, IC 36- 9- 25 -1l(e) requires a change of fees be approved by the Common
Council of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SANITARY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE RICHMOND SANITARY DISTRICT, THAT:
Section 1. The Board does hereby, after public hearing, recommend the following
changes to the sewer utility rates and requests that the Common Council of the City approve the
rates and charges as follows:

Section 2. The above proposed rates should be taken to the Common Council for its
ordinance form
Section 3. All other provisions of and all other rates and charges established by
Ordinance No. 8 -1989, as amended by Ordinance No. 93 -1995 and Ordinance No. 46 -2004, shall
remain in full force and effect.
Section 4. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
