Koch, Jr. Commissioner - Henry V.,Pope - Curtis,H. Dodson - John.G. Hart D. Town Clerk - J. R. Fountain Mr- William S. LaPorte was also in attendance. The minutes of the regular,meeting held on February 149 1959 were read, approved and adopted. J. R. Fountain reported bank balances as of February 282 1959 as follows: Water Account - $ 2,406.77 General Account - 24,997.21 Reserve Deprec. - 1083.26 n L Savings - 89000.00' Payments during the month of February, 1959 from the General Fund were on checks numbered 743 through 770 and totalled $2,368.96. Payments from the Water Fund for February,.1959 were on.checks numbered 174 through 179 and totalled $8084.65- One check, number 4, for $459.50 was drawn during February, 1959 on the Reserve Depreciation Fund- All of the above payments were unanimously approved. Mr. Koch announced that Mayor Lindsay had departed on his Oriental cruise. He read the police reports and said.that the water samples checked satisfactory for February, 1959- Ms. Koch and the Commissioners discussed the proposed budget for the period October 12 1959 through September 30, 1960. He said that the budget provided for the employment of -an addi- ti onal policeman at $300.00 per month. Mr. Pope moved that the budget be approved and adopted; Mr. Dodson seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Dodson moved that Mr. Howard V. Smith be employed as the official Town Bookkeeper-as of this date. Mr. Hart seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Dodson moved that the Town pay Mr. Mark Fleming not over $20.00 for engineering services connected with the inspecting of.the road construction work on Gulf Stream and Banyan Roads. Mr. Pope seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Ms. Koch read in full'on first reading Ordinance f120 and titled: 2. AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, RELATING TO SOLICITORS AND PEDDLERS; DEFINING THE TERMS; REQUIRING LICENSE AND IDENTIFICATION CARDS AND SETTING UP PROCEDURE FOR ISSUANCE; PRESCRIBING DUTIES OF VARIOUS TOWN OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES WITH RESPECT THERETO; MAKING VIOLATION OF ORDINANCE UNLAWFUL AND PRESCRIBING PUNISHMENT FOR VIOLATION; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. Mr. Dodson moved that Ordinance f120 be approved and adopted on first reading. Mr. Hart seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Koch read Resolution $485: BE IT RESOLVED THAT ALL PRIOR RESOLUTIONS REGARDING THE SIGNING OF CHECKS DRAWN ON THE TOWN "S BANK ACCOUNTS AT THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, ARE HEREBY RESCINDED AND MADE NULL AND VOID AS OF THIS DATE, MARCH k4, 19590 BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE SIGNATURES OF ANY TWO TOWN COMMISSIONERS OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM ON CHECKS DRAWN ON THE TOWN'S BANK ACCOUNTS IN THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA, SHALL BE A PROPER CHARGE AGAINST THE TOWN'S BANK ACCOUNTS. Mr. Hart moved that Resolution %485 be adopted. Mr. Pope seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Ramsey 5.00 Total 21368.96 CHECK DRAWN ON THE RESERVE DEPRECI: ",TION ACCOUNT 4 2/10/59 Motorola Radio (Replace Police Radio) $ 459.50 i MINUTES OF THE ME';ETING OF THE T06'TN =111ISSIONERS SITTING A� A BOARD OF E(rUALIZ_'RS ON: MARCH 24, 25, and 26, 1959 The Town Commissioners of Gulf Stream, Fla. met at the Town Hall in Gulf Stream, Fla. at 10:00 AM on March 24, 25 and 26, 1959 to hear and consider any complaints of the tax payers and to receive and equalize values of real estate and improved property on the Town's Tax Assessment Rolls as of January 1, 1959. A motion t,ras made to postpone the meeting of the Town Commissioners Sitting as a Board of Equalizers until 10:00 AM July 15, 1959. The motion was seconded and then was passed unanimously. The Commissioners agreed to reconvene at Gulf Stream Town Hall at 10 :00 on July 15, 1959. n J.R. Fountain, D.Town Clerk and Tax Assessor
