A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, SELECTING
VARIOUS CONSULTANTS PURSUANT TO REQUEST FOR
QUALTFTCATTONS NO. 2021-08 FOR CONTTNUTNG
ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES;
PROVIDING FOR AUTHORIZATION; AI\D PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' the Village of Key Biscayne ("Village") issued Request for Qualifications
No. 2021-08 ("IUrq"; for continuing professional services relating to architecture and engineering
services (the "Services"); and
WHEREAS' the RFQ sought qualifications for the Services in twelve different categories;
and
WHEREAS,29 firms submitted their qualifications by the RFQ deadline; and
WHEREAS, on February 19,202I, an Evaluation Committee appointed by the Village
Manager short listed firms and ranked the top three consultants in each of the twelve different
categories, as reflected on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein (collectively, the
"Consultants"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Manager recommends that the Village Council select the
Consultants to perform the Services in each of the respective categories; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to select the Consultants as the most qualified
firms for the Services in each of the respective categories and authorize the Village Manager to
negotiate agreements with each of the top-ranked Consultants, which agreements shall be
presented to the Village Council for approval at a future meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORTD.\ AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confirmed, and incorporated herein.
Section 2. Selection. That the Village Council hereby selects the Consultants for the
Services.
Section 3. Authorization. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village
Manager to negotiate agreements with the top-ranked Consultants for the Services in each of the
respective categories, which agreements shall be presented to the Village Council for approval at
a future meeting. If an agreemsnl sannot be reached with the top-ranked Consultants, the Village
Manager is authorized to negotiate with the next highest ranked firm until an agreement in the best
interest of the Village is reached.
Section 4. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective imtqediately upon
adoption.
