A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2011-2012 AND
FUNDING ALLOCATIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
AND HOME PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, in order to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
and HOME Program funds, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
requires cities to submit a Consolidated Plan which serves as a planning document, an
application for federal funds, a strategy to be followed in carrying out CDBG and
HOME funded activities and a basis for assessing performance; and
WHEREAS, in an effort to comply with HUD fair housing requirements, the City
conducted an analysis to identify impediments to fair housing choice, and completed a
fair housing action plan, which describes actions the City will take to overcome and/or
mitigate impediments to fair housing; and
WHEREAS, the City expects to have $1,934,550 in CDBG funds and $631,669
in HOME funds available for fiscal Year 2011-2012, to carry out goals set in the City's
5-year Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's Community Development Block Grant
Advisory Board Commission has conducted the required Public Hearings to obtain
citizen input on the draft Consolidated Plan (FY 2011-2012); and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has reviewed the draft Consolidated
Annual Action Plan and taken into consideration public comments/input relating to
Lynwood's community development and housing needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Lynwood City Council approves the Consolidated Annual
Action Plan for FY 2011-2012, and any amendments made at the May 3, 2011 City
Council meeting.
Section 2. The Lynwood City Council approves the following allocations and
activities for fiscal year 2011-2012, with the use of CDBG and HOME program funds as
listed below:

TOTAL CDBG PROGRAM $1,934,550
Section 3. This Resolution authorizes the required submittal of the
Consolidated Annual Action Plan for FY 2011-2012 and CDBG and HOME funding
applications and certifications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD).
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
