A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE
A FINAL CONTRACT WITH OUTDOOR SPECIALISTS TO SELL ADVERTISEMENT
ON THE LYNWOOD BREEZE BUS FLEET, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL AS TO FORM
BY THE CITY ATTORNEY
WHEREAS, staff received an unsolicited proposal from Outdoor Specialists to
sell advertisement on the Lynwood Breeze busses; and
WHEREAS, the current contract with the City's transit provider allows for
advertisement on the busses; and
WHEREAS, the Outdoor Specialists has proposed at least 50% of their
advertisement sales as compensation to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the City
Manager to negotiate a final contract in which the City is paid by Outdoor Specialists for
the right to place advertisement on the Lynwood Breeze busses for a term of five years.
Section 2. The final contract agreement shall be subjected to approval as to
form by the City Attorney.
Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19 day of April, 2011.
