CALL TO ORDER
The March 1, 2012, City Council "Brown Bagel" Meeting was convened at 7:34 A.M. by
Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Koon, Luebbert, Pope, and Scrivner
Absent: Harvey, Schulte, and Weber
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
2011 -155 (Contract with Cole County for Animal Shelter Services) - Questions were
asked about this contract.
2011 -156 (Amending Neighborhood Improvement Project) - Councilman Bob Scrivner
stated he plans to offer an amendment that states any funds that come in which go back to
the program instead of into the general fund to keep the program going. A lengthy
discussion was held, after which Councilman Bob Scrivner stated he would ask staff to
figure out the best way to accomplish this task which may, or may not, require an
amendment.
2011 -161 (Contract for purchase of Police vehicles) - Police Chief Roger Schroeder
explained that the reason for requesting suspension of the rules is due to a very recent
notice from the manufacturer informing us that they plan to stop taking orders after March
15.
Informal Calendar - Interim City Counselor Drew Hilpert stated that this may be ready to
vote on Monday night, but he is still awaiting confirmation.
