A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COT]NCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING
THE VILLAGE MANAGEROS ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY
RELATING TO FACIAL COVERINGS AND SOCIAL
DISTANCING CONSISTENT WITH THE CDC
GUIDELINES, AS AMENDEDO ON VILLAGE PROPERTY;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS' on May 3, 202I, Governor Ron DeSantis issued an executive order that
suspended certain local emergency orders based on the COVID-19 emergency, including Miami-
Dade County's COVID-related emergency order on facial coverings and social distancing
guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the Village Manager has issued an administrative policy, attached as
Exhibit "A," which relates to facial coverings and social distancing consistent with the CDC
Guidelines, as amended, on Village property (the "Policy"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to support the Village Manager's Policy; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and
welfare of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE,SOLVED BY THE COINCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by this reference.
Section 2. Support. The Village Council hereby supports the Policy attached as
Exhibit "A."
Section 3.Effective Date.This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
