CALL TO ORDER
The May 3, 2012, City Council "Brown Bagel" Meeting was convened at 7:30 A.M. by
President Pro Tempore Bob Weber in the absence of Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Henry, Luebbert, Mihalevich, Prather, Schulte, Scrivner,
and Weber
Absent: Pope
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
2012 -11 and 2012 -12: (Bills associated with the Cherry Creek Development issue) -
Interim City Counselor Drew Hilpert explained the staff's request for suspension of the rules
on these two items.
2012 -21 and 2012 -22: (Adoption of Building and Fire Codes) - Councilman Bob Scrivner
stated he may place these two bills on the Informal Calendar if the Home Builders
Association has not finished their review before they are scheduled to be voted on at the
May 21 Council meeting.
Other - Councilwoman Carrie Carroll brought up the issue of appointing the Conference
Center Committee and stated her reasons for wanting it to be a committee of the whole.
Councilman Bill Luebbert asked staff to provide information about how much money has
been collected so far from the lodgings tax and the interest being paid on it. Councilman
Bob Scrivner suggested a work session to discuss the issue. Councilwoman Carrie Carroll
requested that the item be placed on the next work session agenda.
