CALL TO ORDER
The May 7, 2012, "Pre- Meeting" Work Session was convened at 5:48 P.M. by Mayor Eric
Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Bray, Carroll, Henry, Luebbert, Mihalevich, Pope, Prather, Schulte,
Scrivner, and Weber
Absent: None
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Announcements: City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus will be announcing the May Work
Session.
2012 -5 (Chapter 100 Bond Plan for Modern Litho - Print) - City Counselor Drew Hilpert
explained the reason for a substitute which was requested by Bond Counsel Gilmore and
Bell.
2012 -21 and 2012 -22 (Building and Fire Codes) - Substitutes were distributed for both
of these bills and Councilman Bob Scrivner stated he would asking to accept those
substitutes tonight since he will not be at the May 21 Council meeting. He believes the
substitutes address the concerns mentioned previously by the Home Builders Association.
Mayor Eric Struemph asked for an update on fire ratings at a future meeting.
City Counselor Drew Hilpert went over a brief refresher of Council rules of procedure for
Council meetings and indicated he would be helping the Council with their questions about
meeting rules as they arise in the meetings.
