Councilmember Yu made a presentation on the results of his own research
looking at various downtown areas throughout Southern California. His
research showed that streetscape improvements are helpful to creating a

streetscape will result in a vibrant downtown.
Staff presented the final version of the traffic study including the travel time
information requested at the last Committee meeting. The Committee
discussed the different options for the Las Tunas Drive enhancements
including angle parking, bicycle lanes, and travel lane reductions. The
Committee also discussed the potential impacts on funding for the project for
the different options.
Staff presented information and answered questions about the results of the
traffic study, including traffic volumes, intersection impacts, and travel time
