SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The City of McCall Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments are seeking approval to submit a
grant application to the McCall Rotary Club in an amount not to exceed $5100 to support the purchase of
trees to be planted along 2nd Street as part of the downtown core Phase 1B project. This additional funding
will allow for the purchase of trees that are a bit larger at the time of planting (3” to 3.5” caliper) than what
is currently planned (2” caliper). Larger trees will be sturdier and provide more benefits to the downtown
at the time of planting.
In 2019, McCall Rotary Club provided grant funds and volunteer assistance to plant trees at Riverfront Park.
This proposed project will continue the McCall Rotary Club’s support for local economic development and
environmental stewardship.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve submittal of a McCall Rotary Club grant application and authorize the Mayor to sign all necessary
documents.
