COUNCIL "BROWN BAGEL" WORK SESSION, AUGUST 30, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
The August 30, 2012, City Council "Brown Bagel" Meeting was convened at 7:33 A.M.
by President Pro Tempore Bob Weber in the absence of Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Carroll, Luebbert, Mihalevich, Prather, Scrivner, and Weber
Absent: Bray (arrived at 7:34 a.m.), Henry (arrived at 7:35 a.m.), Pope,
and Schulte
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
2012 -57 (Supplemental Appropriation for Columbia Regional Airport) — Questions
were asked and answered by staff on this issue. City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus
stated that Columbia Mayor Bob McDavid will attend the September 17 Council Meeting
to make a presentation to the Council and answer any questions they may have.
2012 -61 (Supplemental Appropriation for Fire Department) — Questions were asked
and answered by staff on this issue. Fire Chief Robert Rennick gave an overview of the
equipment the additional funding will be used to purchase.
2012 -64 (Amending Code re Deposit Fees for Sewer Bills) — Questions were asked
and answered by staff on this issue.
INFORMAL CALENDAR
The sponsors of Bills 2012 -50, 2012 -51, and 2012 -52, have indicated they will leave
those bills on the Informal Calendar at this time.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8:07 A.M.
