CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Nimri called the Transportation and Public Safety Commission Meeting
to order at 7:30 p.m.

Chairman Nimri led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT LISTED ON THE AGENDA
Commissioner Palmieri made a motion to close public comments, seconded by
Vice -Chairman Stoll and unanimously carried.
CONSENT CALENDAR
A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES — REGULAR MEETING OF AUGUST 28, 2019.
Commissioner Palmieri made a motion to approve the consent calendar,
seconded by Vice Chairman Stoll and unanimously carried.

Commissioner Catalan made a motion to uphold the citation,
seconded by Commissioner Palmieri and unanimously carried.

11. MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS
Public Safety Supervisor Ariizumi invited the Transportation and Public Safety
Commission to a meet and greet session with the Youth Committee on
Wednesday, October 9 at 6 p.m. Additionally, he reminded all of the upcoming
Emergency Preparedness Expo, hosted by Assemblymember Ed Chau on
Saturday, September 14, at Live Oak Park from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Invited all to hold a moment of silence to honor and remember those that
perished on September 11th

Also, took a moment to honor fallen heroes and citizens who perished on
September 11tH
D. VICE CHAIRMAN STOLL
Announced the Area 9 Neighborhood Watch Meeting scheduled for
Thursday, September 19th, from 5:30pm-7:30pm, at the Live Oak Park
Community Center. Area 9 includes the area between Baldwin Avenue
and EI Monte Avenue and Olive and Lower Azusa Drive. The meeting
includes how to handle an active shooter situation, residential burglaries,
how to stop bleeding and information on opportunities for volunteering.
