COUNCIL "BROWN BAGEL" WORK SESSION, SEPTEMBER 27, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
The September 27, 2012, City Council "Brown Bagel" Meeting was convened at 7:35
A.M. by Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Bray, Luebbert, Mihalevich, Pope, Prather, and Schulte
Absent: *Carroll, Henry, Scrivner and Weber
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Presentations from Invited Guests:
City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus explained the presentation which will be made by
AmerenUE regarding Small Modular Reactors. He suggested that staff contact Senator
Kehoe and invite him to the Council meeting as he has been instrumental in this issue.
Bills:
2012 -75 (Rezoning on Flora Drive) — Councilman Pope asked staff to send the Council
documents from the last time a rezoning was proposed in this same area.
*Councilwoman Carrie Carroll arrived at this point in the meeting (7:42
a.m.)
Councilwoman Carroll if the Police Department could make an announcement Monday
night about the drop -box they have installed for citizens to drop off prescription and over
the counter drugs for proper disposal.
2012 -57 (Supplemental Appropriation for Columbia Regional Airport) — Discussion
was held regarding whether to take this bill up earlier on the agenda or leave it under
"Bills Pending."
INFORMAL CALENDAR
Bills 2012 -50 and 2012 -51 will remain on the Informal Calendar, where they will both
die.

NEW BUSINESS
Conference Center — Following a brief discussion, Mayor Struemph announced that a
Special Council Work Session will be held on Monday, October 8 from 5:30 PM to 8:00
PM to discuss the Conference Center again.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 8:05 A.M.
