AWARD OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACY FOR

W~H~REAS, there exists a need for professional services to do Tuaffic
Study Services
WtlEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-5(1)(a) professional services are
exempt fro, the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHFREAS, the ]ocal Finance Officer has certified that £ui~s are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT'RESOLVED, that the Mayor mx] Council of the Borough
of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of Hamal
Associates Inc. at a maxirm~n cost of not to exceed $13~600.00
billable pe.r attached contract.
BE iT FUR'It]ER RESOLVED, that the Mayor 'and Municipal Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute said contract.
IT IS FUR'HD~]~ RESOLVE1), that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-5(1)(a) due to the specialized
and professional nature of the services provided.
