RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT
ALTERING EXISITNG WARD BOUNDARIES
The Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District does resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District
has reviewed population figures provided by the 2000 United States Census for the District's
seven wards; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that ward boundary adjustments are in order to
achieve an equal population, as far as practicable, per ward based on the 2000 Census data:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District as follows:
Section One: Pursuant to Elections Code Sin 22000 and Public Resources Code
Section 5534, ward boundaries are hereby adjusted for wards of the Midpeninsula Regional Open
Space District as described schematically in Exhibit A affixed hereto and made a part hereof and
as delineated in detail on the following maps on file with the District Clerk in the District office,
which documents are incorporated herein by reference:
Exhibit B: Ward 1 Boundaries Based on 2000 Census
Exhibit C: Ward 2 Boundaries Based on 2000 Census
Exhibit D: Ward 3 Boundaries Based on 2000 Census
Exhibit E: Ward 4 Boundaries Based on 2000 Census
Exhibit F: Ward 5 Boundaries Based on 2000 Census
Exhibit G: Ward 6 Boundaries Based on 2000 Census
Exhibit H: Ward 7 Boundaries Based on 2000 Census

Section Two: The ward boundaries as establislied by the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District on June 29, 1992 with respect to the wards in Santa
Clara County and San Mateo County by Resolution 92-31 are superseded by this resolution.
Section Tluee: Pursuant to Elections Code Section 10522, the following statement
indicates in which wards a director is to be elected at the next biennial general election to be held
on November 5, 2002 and in which wards a director is to be elected on the succeeding biennial
general election to be held on November 2. 2004: Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 5 and Ward 6 on
November 5, 2002;Ward 3,Ward 4, and Ward 7 on November 2, 2004.

District on May 29, 2002, at a special meeting thereof, by the following vote:

NOES: none

the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly adopted by the Board of Directors of
