COUNCIL "PRE- MEETING" WORK SESSION, FEBRUARY 4, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The February 4, 2013, City Council "Pre- Meeting" Meeting was convened at 5:45
P.M. by Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Bray, Henry, Luebbert, Mihalevich Pope, Prather, Schulte,
and Weber
Arrived after meeting was convened: Carroll and Scrivner (both arrived
at 5:47 P.M.)
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
City Counselor Drew Hilpert announced that Cole County Clerk Marvin Register
will be in attendance tonight in case the Council has any questions for him about
Bills 2012 -135 and 2012 -136 about election dates.
City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus reminded the Council that they voted at their
first meeting in April to move the February 18 Council Meeting to Tuesday,
February 19 because, even though not a City holiday, offices at Cole County, the
State, Federal, and local schools will all be closed on February 18.
*Councilmen Mihalevich and Scrivner arrived at 5:47 p.m. during discussion
of Council Liaison reports.
2012 -118 (Supplemental Appropriation for Elections Fund) — Councilman
Schulte stated he plans to remove this from the Informal Calendar to be voted on
tonight, and that he does not plan to amend the bill to change the source of
funding for the appropriation.
