PL 19-2194: 9447 LAS TUNAS DRIVE DESCRIPTION: A conditional use permit for the establishment of a tutoring business. ACTION: The Commission voted 3-0 to approve file PL 19-2194, and adopted the resolution finding that the project is exempt from CEQA, subject to the proposed recommended conditions of approval. B. PL 19-2200: 5570 ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD DESCRIPTION: A request for a conditional use permit and a vesting tentative tract map to subdivide the airspace of a previously approved four-story, mixed - use project, consisting of approximately 15,743 square feet of commercial floor area on the ground floor; 1,892 square feet of work/live area and 1,345 square feet of commercial area on the second floor; and 73 residential units above the first floor that consist of approximately 75,372 square feet. The mixed -use project received approval of a major site plan review by the Community Development Director on September 17, 2019. ACTION: The Commission voted 3-0 to approve file PL 19-2200, adopt the resolution, and find that the project is categorically exempt from CEQA, subject to modifying three conditions: condition three of Exhibit "A" should end with the work/live units being on the same lot or parcel; condition six of Exhibit "A", the second sentence should read that the CC&Rs must reasonably address the following items; and condition 47 of Exhibit "B", should be changed to read that a final parcel/tract map shall be processed prior to issuance of the certificate of occupancy. 4. UPDATE FROM THE PLANNING MANAGER Mr. Reimers, Interim Community Development Director, gave a yearly 2019 update for the Planning Department activities, Planning Commission meetings, and Code enforcement. 8. ADJOURNMENT City Council May 5, 2020 Page 3 of 3 The Commission meeting was adjourned at 8:58 p.m. CITY STRATEGIC GOALS: Reviewing the Commission actions of March 10, 2020, furthers the City's Strategic Goals of Citizen Education and Communication. FISCAL IMPACT: This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year 2019-20 City Budget.
