CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION ON THE NovEmBER 5,2002 BALL(yrs OF
SAN MATEO COUNTY,SAWA CLARA COUNTY,AM SAWA CRUZ COUNTY
WHEREAS,the District's enabling legislation states that the Board of Directs may opt
not to permit candidates running unopposed to have their names appear on the ballot.
NOW, THEREFORE,the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula.Regional Open Space
District does hereby opt not to list the unopposed candidates for election on the November 5,
2002 ballots of Santa Clara, San Mateo,and Santa Cruz Counties.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space
District on June 26, 2002, at a Regular Meeting thereof, by the following vote:
