I looked at this late last week and intended to send out a response Monday morning. As you know, I've been sick the first part of the week and today's my first day back at work. The timbers are fine as shown on the sketches. While the probability of the performance is iffy, as the timbers are on site and require low investment to install, I understand their preference. As the intent is to hold back the much, from the yard, a screen type design that passes runoff but holds back the mulch would be preferable. I do not offer a particular design recommendation. In summary, I concur with issuance of this landscape permit. Could you advise the homeowner or me about whether this is a good solution or if it would cause other issues? The proposed work would be in the front driveway of 1207 Fifth Avenue.
