March 17, 2020, cities are allowed to hold City Council meetings via teleconferencing

A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The City Council is requested to review and approve:
1. Minutes of the Regular City Council Meeting of May 19, 2020; and
2. Minutes of the Special City Council Meeting of May 26, 2020.
Recommendation: Approve.
B. UPDATE ON FIREWORKS PERMITS
The City Council approved the 2020 Fireworks permits on March 31, 2020. The
staff report provides an update on the relationship between the Los Angeles
County Public Health Orders and the fireworks permits.
Recommendation: Receive and file update.
C. ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 20 -5476 APPROVING PAYMENT OF BILLS
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2019-20
The City Council is requested to adopt Resolution No. 20-5476 authorizing the
payment of bills.

A. DISCUSSION OF OPTIONS FOR ORDINANCE NO. 20-1041U, AN URGENCY
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
TEMPORARILY PROHIBITING EVICTIONS OF RESIDENTIAL AND
COMMERCIAL TENANTS ARISING OUT OF FINANCIAL IMPACTS OF THE
COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The City Council is requested to give staff direction regarding the City’s urgency
ordinance prohibiting evictions of residential and commercial tenants due to non-
payment of rent authorized by Executive Order N-28-20 to local governments until
May 31, 2020.
Presentation: City Manager/City Attorney
Recommendation:
1. Discuss the effects of the existing moratorium on tenants and landlords in the
City, receive additional information from City staff and the City Attorney; and
2. Give direction regarding actions related to the moratorium, if any, that the City
Council would like brought back for further consideration.
