The minutes of the commission meeting of Dec. 12, 1959 were read, approved and adopted. J.R.Fountain reported bank balances as of Dec.31, 1959 as follows: Water Fund $� x93$.85 Gen. 11 30;759.97 Reserve Depreciation Fund 23630.94 11 " Savings $1000.00 Payments for the month of Dec. 1959: From the Water Fund on Checks A 217 -221 totaled 593.53 From the General Fund on Checks ;4 1035 -1062 totaled iqp 4821.60. All of the above payments were unanimously approved. Mayor Lindsay M read the police reports,for Dec., 1959. He praised the men for their good work. Mr. Dodson made a motion that the Town pay for the two new police cars as per bid price of $ 2070.00 per car. Mr. Iglehart seconded and the motion carried unanimously. ( Mayor Lindsay read his proclamation announcing the election Reid March 1,& naming Mrs. Bauer Inspector and Miss Cramp and Mr. Turner as Clerks. The Commissioners unanimously approved. J.R.Fountain was instructed to notify Mrs. Bauer,Miss Cramp and Mr. Turner to be on hand at Gulf Stream Town Hall on March 1, 1960 at 6:55 A.M.. Mayor Lindsay read in full on second and final r:ading Town Ordinance # 122 and titled: ORDINANCE # 122 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE CONSERVATION OF WATER, PROHIBITING THE USE OF WATER FURNISHED BY THE TOWN OF GULF STREAM OR GULF STR.�'AM GOLF CLUB IN AIR CONDITIONERS ', ;,HICH DO NOT RECIRCULATE THE WATER; PROHIBITING THE U3E OF SUCH WATER IN AIR CONDITIONERS WHICH CIRCULATE THE WATER UNLESS PERMIT HAS FIRST BI-EN OBTAINED FROM T07VIN OF GULF STREAM; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND PROVIDING FOR OTHER MATTER - 't]L A TiauG TH' U1 0. °_r. Hart moved the adoption of Ordinance ;; 122. Mr. Dodson seconded. Carried unanimously. Mr. Dodson made the report for the Investment Committee. He explained that .sir. Lilienthal, Town Attorney, had written a letter to the Town Commissioners quoting State Statute making it mandatory for Municipalitie in Florida to store their Investment Bonds in safe deposit box in a Bank located in the County. Mr. Dodson siad that this changed the Investment Committee's plans. He outlined a plan whereby the Town could COKLIS�;ION MEETING MINUTES - JAN. 9, 1960 (Continued) Page 2 rent an additional safe deposit box at the Firwt National Bank of Delray Beach, authorize two commissioners to have access to the box and bond these two commissioners. After a discussion, Mr. Hart Moved' that the investment of the money authorized at the Commission i:eeting on Dec. 12, 1959 be held in abeyance until after the March 1, 1960 election. Mr. Dodson seconded and the motion carried. Mr. Iglehart reported that the north portion of Gulf Stream Road was in need of repair. Mayor Lindsay explained that the Town was waiting until the County repaired Sea Road before commencing work on Gulf Stream Road. The Commissioners voted unanimously to Lrive Roy Cowart, Melton Partin and Raleigh mountain a delayed Christmas Bomus of $ 100.00 each.
