SUBJECT: PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION ACTIONS – REGULAR
MEETING OF JUNE 17, 2020
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file the Parks and Recreation Commission
(Commission) actions from their regular meeting of June 17, 2020.
BACKGROUND:
On June 17, 2020, the Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting.
ANALYSIS:
Following is a summary of actions taken at the June 17, 2020, Commission regular
meeting:
1. ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioner - Baroldi, Haddad, Tarin, Vice-Chairman Rosso,
Chairman Vance
Absent: Commissioner - None
Excused: Commissioner - None
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Commission approved the regular minutes of the February 19, 2020 and
received and filed the Monthly Report for May 2020.

3. NEW BUSINESS
A. PARKS & RECREATOIN COVID-19 RESPONSE AND UPDATE
The Commission received and filed a verbal presentation of the Parks &
Recreation COVID-19 response and update. Response and update items
included department impacts such as but not limited to modified operations at
Temple City Park and Live Oak Park, modified staff schedules, City events,
youth sports, youth programming, contract classes and senior programing.
4. COMMUNICATIONS – None
5. UPDATE FROM PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR
A. The Commission received the Parks and Recreation Director’s Report for the
month of June 2020.
CITY STRATEGIC GOALS:
Reviewing the Commission actions of June 17, 2020, furthers the City’s Strategic Goal of
Citizen Education and Communication.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20 City Budget.
