Joe Wilson Monday, July 22, 2013 7:08 AM Dianne Otto RE: paver driveway application - 1102 Butler Ave. From: Dianne Otto Sent: Friday, July 19, 2013 2:40 PM To: Joe Wilson Subject: paver driveway application - 1102 Butler Ave. Joe, As discussed this past Wednesday, the attached paperwork and photograph for a permit to remove a concrete driveway and replace it with pavers at 1102 Butler Avenue included a request to widen the existing curb cut. The factors impacting my decision to deny the requested widening in the right -of -way were based on the proximity of the curb cut to the intersection of Eleventh Street and Butler Avenue, the existing power pole, fire hydrant, and on- street public parking space. The existing driveway is 12 -feet wide where it meets the pavement of Eleventh Street, and 8 -feet wide at the first expansion joint. The length of that area is 10 -feet. I have advised the applicant, Kimberly Doyle, that the concrete in the 12 x 8 x 10 area can be removed and replaced with pavers, but the dimensions of the area cannot be expanded. Cutting /removing the existing yellow curb is not allowed. After the 10 -foot length has been passed, the paver driveway can be expanded to the requested 14 -foot width. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this. Dianne K.
