Park Street, McCall ID 83638 Members Present: Mike Weiss (Chair), Charles Jones, Rick Fereday, Mark Thorien Staff: Richard M. Stein,Airport Manager. Others Present: Karen Janiak (Sawtooth), Kevin Bissell (T-O Engineering), Walt Sledzieski (Chair, Historical Commission) Mike Weiss the meeting to order at 12:05 p.m. Public comment: None Approval of Minutes from December 12,2019: The December 12,2019 regular meeting minutes were presented for review and approval. Charles Jones moved to accept the minutes, RF seconded the motion. All voted aye and the motion passed. Instrument Approach Procedures—cancellation of circling approaches: On December 16th, 2019, an email was received from the FAA notifying the airport of the cancellation of the RNAV(GPS) circling approaches to both Runway 16 and Runway 34. Charles Jones provided information that the current straight-in approaches are safer, and no reason exists for the City to object to the IAP cancellation. The AAC recommended that the City not object to the cancellation Hangar 98/Deinhard Commercial Property: Previously, Staff has been working on developing a lease property off of Deinhard Lane just west of the current airport offices. The property has been called the Deinhard 1 project, or the Hangar 98 project. At the special City Council meeting on October 25, 2019, Council requested additional information on any discussions or recommendations on Dew Aircraft, Inc. (the sole aircraft maintenance organization at the airport)having the first choice on the leased area. The AAC had previously considered at the May 3't, 2018 AAC meeting. The recommendation was "Mike Weiss motioned that the AAC express support for a commercial hangar for DEW, with issues resolved. Mark Thorien seconded the motion which passed unanimously." Park Street, McCall ID 83638 Draft Taxiway Relocation Safety/Phasing Plan: Kevin Bissell of T-O Engineering provided drawings of the Safety/Phasing Plan. The project will require two 5-day runway closings. A discussion was held concerning possible alternatives to runway closings. The planned start of construction is the week after the July 4th holiday. Hangar 104/Pioneer Hangar update: Mr. Stein provided an update on the Hangar 104 donation project. A price is being sought for a historical structural engineer to provide a report. A discussion was held concerning what purpose the hangar can be used for, and what to do with the current tenants. WS provided a brief overview of what the Historical Committee can provide. Airport Zoning: The AAC was informed that the Airport Zoning was passed by City Council. Draft Annual Airport Summary to City Council: An early draft of the Annual Airport Summary to City Council was mentioned by Mr. Stein. No discussion. Annual Airport Advisory Committee Report to City Council: On January 23, 2020, a member of the AAC must present the AAC annual report to City Council. MW will be unable to attend. Therefore, Rick Fereday will provide the presentation. Mr. Fereday requested staff to provide"bullet points"for the presentation.
