SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven (7) members: four (4) appointed by
the Mayor with consent of the Council, and three (3) appointed by the Board of Valley County
Commissioners. All members must be residents of the city or the area of city impact for a period of at least
two (2) years prior to appointment (MCC 3.12.02).
Robert Lyons was appointed in October 2018 to fill the remaining term of a vacated City representative
seat. That term has expired, and Robert Lyons would like to be re-appointed to the McCall Area Planning
and Zoning Commission for a full three-year term, to expire February 2023. The position opening was
advertised in the Star News, and Mr. Lyon’s letter of interest was the only one received from a qualified
representative.
At its February 4, 2020 regularly scheduled meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the
submitted letter of interest. After discussion, the Commission unanimously recommended to City Council
Robert Lyons to be re-appointed as City representative, seat to expire February 2023.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Appoint to the McCall Area Planning and Zoning Commission Robert Lyons for a three-year term
representing the McCall City Limits, expiring February 2023.
