Subject: Recurring Vendors
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to provide transparency, with respect to
vendors used by the Village over the course of the fiscal year.
On September 13, 2022, Council approved the use of 37 vendors, which on aggregate
may exceed $20,000 (the Village Manager’s spending limit) over the course of the fiscal
year. Within this approval, Council requested notification if/when any vendors on the
list exceed the threshold of $20,000. The following vendors exceeded $20,000 in
aggregate purchases during FYE 2023.
AT&T Mobility, provides mobile cellular and data plan services for all Village
departments. With the addition of new Village personnel, additional user cellular
accounts and connected devices have been activated for business use. The total
disbursed through March 31st, for FYE 2023 budget year was approximately $20,800.
Mercedes Electric Supply, supplies the Village with lighting and electrical part needs
such as, streetlights, up-lights, beach path lights, facility lights, etc. In order to replace
irreparable bollard lights along the Beach Jogging Path. New fixtures were needed,
costing a total of $19,800.00. The total disbursed through March 31st, for FYE 2023
budget year was approximately $22,600.
Lank Oil Co, provides diesel and unleaded fuel delivered to our tanks behind the Public
Works facility to keep our Village fleet on the move. The spot market pricing for the
fuel they provide is consistent with other vendors, and more importantly the freight fee
they charge is considerably less than other vendors; for this reason, they are our
primary source for fuel deliveries at a monthly average cost of $3,250.00. The total
disbursed through March 31st, for FYE 2023 budget year was approximately $22,100.
