Subject: Legislative Session 2023
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit the attached email provided by
our Village lobbyist Ron L. Book.
As the 2023 Florida Legislative Session comes to a conclusion, we are happy to report that
both of the Bal Harbour Village projects have been fully funded. The next steps are that
the proposed budget, which includes both of these items will be forwarded to the
Governor's office for his consideration.

Good morning, Mr. Manager,
I am happy to report final funding amounts for Bal Harbour's funding requests this Session. The Legislature released the
final budget on Tuesday, 5/2, at 8:48 am, starting the mandatory 72-hour "cooling off' period before House and Senate
members can vote on the budget Friday. We continue to work on both projects this week — we are meeting with the
Governor's budget analysts to advocate for both projects this afternoon. We expect that the Governor will act quickly this
year, rather than wait until late June.... Please let me know if you have any questions at this point. Thank you. Rana
