Subject: Bal Harbour Waterfront Park Right -of -Way Improvements - Gate for
Residential Community
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you information related to work
scheduled forthe completion and activation of the new gates forthe residential community.
Beginning Wednesday, July 5, 2023, the Village contractor will install fencing to secure the
work area, along Bal Bay Drive, from 96 Street to Park Drive. Work will then begin, to include
the following:
• Removal of the old gates and operating system
• Concrete pour for new curbs
• Installation of safety loops and arms for new gate system
• Repaving the roadway
• Testing of the new gates
Work is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, July 5 through Friday, July 14. During this
entire work period, the area will be secured for safety, and vehicular access will be restricted.
Residents and visitors to the gated community will have to utilize the Harbour Way gate for
access. Pedestrian access will remain open whenever possible, with some intermittent closures
when required for safety.
Notices are being distributed to the residents via WENS and Constant Contact, as well as
through the Bal Harbour Civic Association.
