CALL TO ORDER

The November 17, 2008, "Pre- Meeting" Work Session was convened at 5:45 P.M. by Mayor
John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Carroll, Ferguson, Harvey, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold, Randolph,
and Scrivner
Absent: Klindt
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
2008 -96 (purchase property for Federal Courthouse project): Councilman Jim Penfold
will request suspension of the rules to allow this transaction to occur and the property
turned over to the Prison Redevelopment Commission.
2008 -72 (Minimum Fines): Councilman Mike Harvey will leave this bill on the Informal
Calendar for one more Council meeting.
2008 -74 (lodging tax): Substitute #3 was distributed which puts a 10 -year "sunset clause"
on the lodging tax.
Appointments: Human Resources Director Gail Strope stated that she has received a call
from Mr. Frank Rycykwho has requested that his name be removed from consideration for
appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission since the dates of their meetings
conflict with another function to which he was previously committed.
The meeting adjourned at 5:50 P.M.
