Gonzalez, Village Manager Date: October 28, 2022 Subject: Upcoming Dates and Events The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you of the following upcoming events and dates related to Village operations: Village Meetings Monday, November 21, 2022 Village Council Induction Ceremony (10:00 am) Village Hall, 2nd Floor Conference Room Tuesday, November 22, 2022 Village Council Meeting (6:30 pm) TBD Resort Tax Committee Meeting Thursday, December 1, 2022 Review Board (1:00 pm) Village Hall, 2nd Floor Conference Room Events on the Horizon Saturday, October 29, 2022 “Halloween Masquerade Cocktail Party” (8:00 pm – 11:30 pm) A Halloween Masquerade Party at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Bar. Indulge in an extraordinary night featuring live music, performances, immersive cocktail experiences and elevated bites. Dress code: Black Tie Affair/Exquisite Costumes. Register at bit.ly/3Dg41uf. Sunday, October 30, 2022 “Seek & Treat Pumpkin Hunt” (4:30 – 6:30 pm) Fall Scavenger Hunt along the Bal Harbour Beach Path. Visit the Beach Path starting at 4:30 pm to find the 14 pumpkins and unscramble the phrase. Then meet us at “Symphony by the Sea” on the beach by the jetty with your completed sheet to collect your prize. Prizes must be redeemed in person by 6:30 pm. Sunday, October 30, 2022 “Symphony by the Sea” (5:00 pm – 6:30 pm) Performance includes pieces honoring Hispanic Heritage Month, as well as a preview of the South Florida Symphony Orchestra’s 22/23 season. Located at Bal Harbour Jetty Beach. Monday, November 7, 2022 “Full Moon Yoga” (5:30 pm – 6:30 pm) Located at the Bal Harbour Jetty Beach Tuesday, November 8, 2022 “Election Day” – (7:00 am – 7:00 pm) Bal Harbour Village 2nd Floor Chamber Room Wednesday, November 9, 2022 “Unscripted Bal Harbour” (12 – 3:00 pm) - Art Tour of the De la Cruz Collection at their private home. Tour begins at 1 pm, transportation provided leaving Village Hall at 12 pm. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP to Marie or events@balharbourfl.gov. Sunday, November 13, 2022 “Thanksgiving Holiday Basket Community Event” - The Bal Harbour Police Legacy Foundation will be hosting a community event on Sunday, November 13, 10 am – 2 pm, to pack baskets for families in need for the Thanksgiving holiday. Monday, November 14, 2022 “Coffee with a Cop” (8:00 am – 9:30 am) - Bal Harbour Police Department will be partnering with the Ritz Carlton Hotel to provide coffee for residents and guests as they meet members of the Bal Harbour Police Department. The event will take place 8:00 am – 9:30 am on the beach by the jetty. Thursday, November 17 – Tuesday, November 22, 2022 “Ice Skating for the Holidays” - The Village is partnering with Bal Harbour Shops to host an ice skating rink in the Center Courtyard of the shops, from November 17-22. Ice skating equipment will be provided, and skating will be available for residents and visitors, through a reservation system. Sunday, November 20, 2022 “Unscripted Bal Harbour Art Chat” (12 – 2:00 pm) In partnership with the Miami Book Fair, this Unscripted Bal Harbour Art Chat presents architect Moshe Safdie. The event begins at 12 PM. This in- person program will also be live-streamed at MiamiBookFairOnline.com. RSVP to Marie or events@balharbourfl.gov. Monday, November 21, 2022 “Holiday Lighting Ceremony” (7:00 pm – 9:00 pm) Join us in Founders’ Circle, as we light up Bal Harbour to kick off the holiday season. This complimentary event will include musical performances by local youth groups, light refreshments, and a light snowfall for everyone to enjoy.
