Subject: Bal Harbour Shops Construction Impacts - Crane Demobilization
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to inform you of impacts to traffic on 96' Street that
will take place next week as a result of the crane demobilization from the Bal Harbour Shops
construction site.
On Thursday, November 3,d, starting at 8pm, the westbound lanes of 96' Street will be closed to
traffic, forthe demobilization of the crane. The eastbound lanes of 96t1i Street will be converted into
one lane westbound, and one lane eastbound. This revised traffic pattern will remain in place
through the early morning hours of Sunday, November 6th
Off -Duty police officers are being coordinated through the Bal Harbour Shops, to monitor the area
throughout the entire demobilization process. These officers will be contracted from Bal Harbour,
Bay Harbor Islands, and Surfside.
Florida Department of Transportation has received this MOT request (plans attached for your
reference), and has reviewed along with input from Surfside and Bay Harbor Islands. We anticipate
approval being finalized and confirmed by early next week.
Notifications will be distributed to all residents, condo/hotels, and businesses through Constant
Contact and WENS today, as well as reminders being sent out next week.

Please be advised, as approved by FDOT, the Bal Harbour Shops
961" Street Parking Garage construction is transitioning into its
completion phase. Included in this transition is demobilizing the
tower crane. To complete this necessary activity, pedestrian and
vehicle traffic on 96t" Street will be impacted beginning Thursday,
11/3/22 @ 8:00 PM through Sunday, 1116122 @ 6:00 AM. Road
detours, message boards, and signage will be installed at
perimeter roads adjacent to the Project site providing directional
notices prior to lane merging. We apologize in advance for the
inconvenience this activity may cause. We thank you for your
patience.
