Subject: Freebee On Demand Transportation Service Starting on December 21,
2022
The purpose of this Letter to Council (LTC) is to transmit to you information related to the
December 21, 2022, start of the Bal Harbour Village Freebee On -Demand transportation
service for residents and visitors.
This free to user service will be offered seven days per week from 8 am until 7 pm and
provide riders with door-to-door pickup/drop-off anywhere within service area which
includes the following:
• Service within the entire Village
• Service north to the Miami Dade County Haulover Park Skate Park site
• Service south along the business district of the Town of Surfside to the 9400 block
of the Surfside Publix
• Service west to the business district of Bay Harbor Islands along the Kane
Concourse (961h street), to the intersection of 96 Street and west Bay Harbor Drive
The Bal Harbour Freebee On Demand service features a Tesla Model X and an Americans
with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant vehicle upon request.
The service is requested via a user downloaded mobile phone application as detailed
within the attached information pamphlet. These pamphlets will be provided at the Village
Hall reception area, the residential condominiums along Collins Avenue and the Gated
Community security station on Harbour Way. Additionally, the newly launched Village
website provides further information related to this free service at the web link below with
outreach to be conducted via Village social media platforms.
