Attended Martin Luther King Boulevard dedication. 2. Met with Captain Hansell regarding gang and graffiti problems. 3. Met with Public Works Department regarding Bateman Hall pools and railing. 4. Attended General Plan meetings. 5. Attended Sheriff's Athletic Leaque meetings. 6. Conducted Youth Commission meeting of April 13. � 7. Met with Community Youth Gang Services. 8. Prepared Summer Newsletter. 9. Met with United Health Plans to discuss Senior Citizen supplemental health insurance. 10. Conducted Stroke Prevention Screening. 11. Senior Aid Proqram - food distribution on Friday, April 28. BATEMAN HALL 1. Met with Cal Pacific to discuss air conditioning repairs. 2. Received rental furniture for V.I.P. room. 3. Miss Lynwood contest held on April 22. 4. Replaced lock on P.A. storage closet. RECREATION ACTIVITIES 1. Girls Basketball Banquet held April 13. 2. Boys Basketball Banquet held April 12. 3. T-Ball entered 4th week of play. 4. Lynwood Track team placed first in the South East Municipal Athletic Association Track Meet. Travel to San Diego on May 27 for finals. 5. Served as member on S.E.M.A.A. Track Committee. Y � � _ �°6. Teen program center hours are 4-6 p.m., Monday through Friday and 12 noon - 4pm on Saturday. 7. Met with Deputy Shaw concerning uniform needs. 8. Conducted officials and scorekeepers training session April 4,5,6 & 7. 9. Conducted coaches meeting on April 12. 10. Conducted All City Track Meet April 8. 11. Boys 9& 10 and 11 & 12 year old basketball teams participated in and won Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation.Basketball Tournament. 12. Conducted a trip to Magic Mountain on April 22. 13. Met with park staff regarding diamond scheduling and maintenance. " 14. Met with class instructors regarding upcoming contract classes. 15: Afterschool dances for playqround participants held April 7 and 14. 16. C"inco de Mayo committee met April 13, 20 and 27. 17. Accepted nominations for afterschool playground awards. PARKS DIVISION 1. Planted 50 flats of qazania, 2 flats color, 24-five gallon shrubs, 2-fifteen gallon shrubs, 75-one gallon shrubs, throughout civic center. 2. Quick couplers were repaired in City Park. 3. The Girls Softball registration is being taken with games to s[art in May. The All City Drill Team is preparing to perform on May 6th in the Cinco de Mayo Program. At the Sheriff's Athle[ic Board Meeting on April llth it was determined they would supply ' uniforms for the Boys Baseball and Girls Softball teams this year.
