Recording or Taping Notification : As required by the Open Meeting Law we are informing you that the Town will be videotaping and/or audio taping this public meeting. In addition, if anyone else intends to either video or audio tape this meeting they are required to inform the chair. " We request that all cell phones be turned off or to vibrate. 1 . Review of Town Meeting Article Results and Next Steps for Grant Agreement(s) Faythe explained that she presented two and Elizabeth presented one of the articles . All three were approved with little or no discussion . 2 . Acceptance and Discussion of Brewster Historical Commission ' s Request for $ 15 ,400 from FY2020 ' s Administrative Funds . Faythe explained that this is a continuation of the project that the Historical Commission is doing to have a consultant do house "histories" for the historic structures in town . The Historical Commission would like to have this done on all the town ' s historic structures and they are about halfway through the project at this point . This funding request will hopefully cover about 70 more structures . If this funding request is approved the project will have to go out to bid . 3 . Discussion and Possible Vote on Consulting Contract with Eric Dray to Oversee the Historical Preservation Conditions of the CPC Award to Cape Rep for the Crosby Barn - Phase II Rehabilitation , The Chair explained that the funds were already approved at the December 3 , 2018 Town Meeting but there needed to be a contract/letter formally hiring Eric Dray as the consultant. MOTION to accept the consulting contract with Eric Dray to oversee the historical preservation conditions of the CPC award to Cape Rep for phase II of their Crosby Barn rehabilitation . MOVED by Rollie Bassett. Seconded by Diane Pansire, VOTE : 5-0-0 1 Community Preservation Committee Minutes ; May 22, 2019 4 . Membership Renewals for FY2020 . The Chair reviewed the terms of the current CPC members and informed the members who are up for renewal should they choose to remain on the committee . 5 . Update about any Anticipated Funding Requests for Fall Town Meeting , The Chair expressed that he expects the Dog Park Committee to resubmit an application . He suggested that if this is the case they should submit a new application as the scope of work will be different from the previous application . Elizabeth is potentially expecting something from Open Space and Recreation . Faythe is expecting an application from the Cape Playhouse . The Chair also brought up that the Housing Trust may be looking to buy a couple homes to keep them affordable so an application from the Housing Trust is a possibility . 6 . Approval of the minutes of the April 24 , 2019 meeting. MOTION to approve the minutes of the April 24 , 2019 meeting. MOVED by Rollie Bassett. Seconded by Elizabeth Taylor. VOTE : 4-04 7 . Announcements , The Chair brought up that in the Senate and House budgets they included a $ 30 increase in the deed excise tax that goes to the state match . He stated that hopefully it will be signed by the Governor. He stated that it would double the match . There is also another amendment being debated about adding $20 million to the budget surplus that exists as of June 30 to the 2019 match . The Housing Forum is tomorrow night (May 23 ) at 5 : 30 -7 : 30 at the Brewster Ladies Library . Elizabeth explained that the legal fees have gone above the $ 35 , 000 allotted for the purchase of the WH Besse which closed at the beginning of May . The excess fees were out of the control of the CPC . There is a question of where the funds should come from to cover the overage . The Chair would also like to set up a meeting between the new Town Administrator Peter Lombardi and the officers of the CPC to update him on the Brewster CPC . 8 . Items the Chair Could Not Reasonably Anticipate . None , I 9 . Next Meeting . The next CPC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 12 , 2019 at 4 : 45 PM . 2 Community Preservation Committee Minutes : May 22 , 2019 MOTION to Adjourn at 5 : 05 PM. MOVED by Elizabeth Taylor.
