CALL TO ORDER
The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of August 6, 2007, was convened at 5:50 P.M. by
Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Brown, Crane, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Medin, and Penfold
Absent: Ferguson, Layton, and Smith
A quorum was present.

DA ITEMS
2007 -57: Discussion was held regarding the language in the airport lease agreements with this
bill. Mayor John Landwehr said the staff may want to look at this issue within the next couple
of weeks to make sure the lease reflects what the Council wants.
Veto of 2007 -40: Mayor John Landwehr stated he is vetoing this bill and read his veto
message which was distributed to the Council at the beginning of the meeting. City Counselor
Nathan Nickolaus stated that, in compliance with the City Charter, a veto should occur as the
first order of business in the meeting (immediately after roll - call).
RS2007 -11: City Administrator Steve Rasmussen explained that due to some questions which
came up at the August 3 Brown Bag meeting about this item, staff is asking that RS2007 -11
is be remove from consideration.
