The regular meeting of the Community Access Advisory Board the
City of Lynwood, California was held on February 12, 1990 in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall. (The agenda was duly posted
as prescribed by the Brown Act) . .�.,.; ,:
Chairperson Mary"Wriqht called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Members in attendance were Mary Wright, Bill Cunningham ,
and Ann Fields. Absent were Rev. C. C. Coleman and Ada McZeal.
Staff present from City Manager's Office were Gerald W. Forde,
Carol de Jesus, and Roy Bufanda. Jim Given and Perry Brent from
the Department of Recreation and Parks also attended.
Mr. Forde introduced Mr. Roy Bufanda, the new Administrative
Analyst III to the Board. Mr. Bufanda replaced Mr. Roger Haley.
Minutes of October 11, 1989, October 30, 1989 and December 11,
1989 were approved, seconded and carried with one minor
correction noted by Chairperson Wright on the October 30
minutes. The minutes should reflect that Rev. C. C. Coleman made
a motion to adopt the LII Budget and seconded by william Cunningham.
SCHEDULED MATTERS
1. PROPOSAL FROM RECREATION AND PARKS REGARDING CONIInUNITY ACCESS
INVOLVEMENT
Recreation and Parks would like to take an active role with
the programming portion of community access cable television.
They had a proposal to present to the board showing a number
of cable projects they have been involved with (see attached) -
Mr. Forde suggested that this item be continued at the next
meeting to allow the board some time to review and study the
proposed program. �
' 2. DISCUSSION OF LYNWOOD SHOWCASE - APPROVAL OF PROPOSED OUTLZNE
The board approved the format of the proposed outline done by
the Recreation and Parks staff. However, they suggested that I
the third segment which features the Mayor should come before
the first segment on the Youth. The Board also agreed that ,
the Census portion be included in the third segment.

The Board set a target date for the first show to begin in �
March. Mr. Forde advised the Recreation and Parks staff to �
start drafting up a script and begin doing actual production ,
shots. '
