CALL TO ORDER

The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of September 17, 2007, was convened at 5:45 P.M.
by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Brown, Crane, Harvey, Klindt, Layton, Koon, Medin, Penfold, and Smith
Absent: Ferguson
A quorum was present.
OF AGENDA ITEMS
Mayor John Landwehr announced he is vetoing Bill 2007 -73 (agreement with Historic City of
Jefferson for Bassmann House renovation) and distributed his veto message with the bill
marked "Disapproved." He briefly explained his reasons, but stated he would read the entire
veto message into the record in the main meeting.
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen announced the Council would need to amend the agenda
to add Resolution RS2007 -21 (naming members of the Conference Center Selection
Committee). Mayor Landwehr stated the Council can do that under "Miscellaneous Agenda
Items" at the beginning of the meeting.
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen made an announcement about the Conference Center
proposal meeting which has tentatively been scheduled for November 7 at 6:00 P.M.
The meeting adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
