CALL TO ORDER

The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of November 5, 2007, was convened at 5:45 P.M.
by Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present:
Present: Brown, Crane, Harvey, Klindt, Layton, Koon, Medin, Penfold, and Smith
Absent: Ferguson
A quorum was present.
OF AGENDA ITEMS
Upcoming Meetings and Events: City Administrator Steve Rasmussen announced that a
Conference Center Selection Committee will be held on Wednesday, November 7 at 9:00
A.M. and gave an overview of how the meeting will be conducted in two parts: morning and
afternoon. They will be interviewing two developers, and he invited all the Council members
to attend whether they are on that committee or not.
Scheduled Reports: City Administrator Steve Rasmussen stated he had planned to make a
report on Council Rules and Procedures, but that since he has had only one request from
Council regarding that topic, he will forego his report, and he presented Councilman Jim
Penfold with a memo to answer his questions about the issue of filling vacant Council
positions. He encouraged Council to give him any thoughts they may have in the future about
Council Rules and Procedures.
Mr. Gilbert Cole is present to make a report to the Council tonight regarding status of upgrades
to Missouri American Water system in the city. Mayor John Landwehr stated if Council did not
object, he would ask Mr. Cole to make his report under Presentations from Invited Guests so
he would not have to sit through the entire meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 5:53 P.M.
