Georgia EPD requires a completed demolition notification from be submitted 10 workings days in advance even if no asbestos is present in the building. Further guidance for regulatory compliance and contact telephone numbers are provided by the brochures entitled Asbestos & Renovation and Asbestos and Demolition. A clear sight triangle gives motorists a view of other oncoming motorists when approaching a road intersection. On all corner lots, no fence, shrubbery or other obstruction to traffic sight vision, except utility poles or light or sign standards, shall encroach into an area as measured from three feet above the level of the adjacent driving surface to ten feet above the level of the adjacent driving surface, within a triangular area formed by the intersection of the right -of -way lines of two streets and a diagonal line which intersects the right -of -way lines at two points, each 25 feet distance from the intersection of the right -of -way lines or, in the case of a rounded corner, from the point of intersection of their tangents except where site conditions require greater or lesser setbacks as determined by a traffic engineer. Just wanted to see where this matter now stands. Between the power pole, palm tree, fence height, for sale sign at the Jensen Cottage corner, I believe a good case of contributory negligence could be made. It would seem to me this would be an ideal time this matter is addressed with the owner before the house is sold. (Ross, the present owner who operates Gauchos downtown, I have found to be a fairly reasonable fellow.) I am not asking the power pole or palm tree be removed. I am wondering if the City of TI would agree the fence line along Campbell needs to be seriously lowered (or removed) and, if lowered, vegetation growing on it be removed to greatly enhance visibility left and vastly improve this presently unsafe condition? (Please add about 3 more near t -bone collisions w/ my vehicle since the my 6/21 letter.) While checking, the City of TI may also want to review the left turn from Logan onto Campbell. It, too, appears unsafe but that is not my primary concern as we seldom use that street. Please understand I would just like for us all to have the best possible safety measures in place for everyone's benefit. Thank you again, Jason. David Baker (P.S. You and the City are to be commended for the logical and swift action on replacing the sewer line on the Back River...or any further replacement of line to the treatment plant! Keep up the good work!) 1
