CALL TO ORDER

The Council "Pre- Meeting" Work Session of January 7, 2008, was convened at 5:45 P.M. by
Mayor John Landwehr.
ATTENDANCE
following Council Members were present:
Present: Brown, Crane, Ferguson, Harvey, Klindt, Koon, Layton, Medin, Penfold,
and Smith (arrived at 5:53 P.M.)
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilman Brian Crane stated that he will not be making the "Motion to Postpone Bill
2007 -125 Indefinitely" under Miscellaneous Agenda Items as he had announced at the January
4 Brown Bag meeting. He stated he would make that motion, if needed, in conjunction with the
bill itself when it comes up on the Informal Calendar portion of the agenda.
City Administrator Steve Rasmussen asked for the Council to make a motion and vote on the
press release he distributed pertaining to the curbside pick -up of ice storm debris.
Councilman Rich Koon asked if the Informal Calendar portion of the agenda could be moved
up because most of the people attending tonight's meeting were here regarding Bill 2007 -125
(riverboat gambling) which is on the Informal Calendar. Mayor John Landwehr stated he would
entertain any motions the Council wishes concerning the agenda in the meeting to follow.
Councilman Jim Penfold stated that, depending on what happens in the following meeting, he
may not be offering his substitute to Bill 2007 -125.
The meeting adjourned at 6:05 P.M.
