The pity Council of the City of i,yni%ood met in an adjourned reo lar session at the City Hall, 11`331 Plaza Street at 7:30 y'.~:1. on above date. l~riayor Snodgrass in the chair. Councilmer. ~~~'illiams, TvJeedy, nimble and Snodgrass answered the roll call. Councilman Anderson was absent. It was moved by ~ouncill;Ian Tweedy and seconded by Councilman ~lilliams that the reading of 'she minutes of the previous meeting be dis- pensed vrith. Motion was carried and so ordered. I~rir. E. ~. Rioe submitted his resignation as Chief of Police to take effect at once. It was moved by Cosine ilman ti"lilliams and seconded b;~ Councilman Kimble that said resignation be accepted. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Williams, Kimble and Snodgrass. Noes Councilman Tweedy. Absent: Cov~ICilman Anderson. The resignation of John '~`~. Schilling as a member of the laynwood Police Department to take effect at the pleasure of the Council, was re- ceived. It was moved by Councilman ~~illiams and seconded by Councilman Kim'ole that same be accepted to take effect immediately. Roll Gall: Ayes: Councilmen Williams, Kimble and Snodgrass. Aloes: T?one. Tvot Voting : Councilman Tweedy. Absent: Councilman Anderson. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman `Yillia.ms and seconded by Councilman Kimble that 2ti~r. Thomas Hogan b e appointed Chief of Polie e of the City of Nynwood to fill the vacancy. Rr11 Call: Ayes: Gouneilm8n: Williams, ximble and Snodgrass. Noes: Councilman Tweedy. Absent: Councilman Anderson. ~'lhereupon Thomas Hogan carne forward and the City Clerk ad- ministered the oath of office. It was moved by Councilman 11imble and seconded by Councilman Williams that the Chief of 1'oliee 'oe instructed to call in all badges that are outstanding held by persons who are not entitled to have same. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen Williams, Ttnreedy, Kimble and Snodr~rass. Noes : T?one. Absent: Councilman Anderson. AZi ap ~licatioi~ for enployment as street inspector, was received from J. W. Scott. The matter of the proposed bud:=°et for fiscal year 1930-31 was then taken up and discussion was had reg~.rding the appropriation desired. by the heads of the various Departments of ~,he City.
