answered the roll call.
City Attorney Hess and En;~ineer Bateman were present.
The minutes of the previous adjourned regular meetirr~~;s of
Au~zst 12th and adjourned regular meeting of Au~,ust 14th, 1930, were
read a~Ld approved.

vrri en eommunica ion was received from Chas. C. Reed, City
Treasurer asking for authority to transfer ~~162,433.07 in the matter
of Acquisition and Improvement District No. 18 of the City of Lynwood,
from the Security-grist National Bank to the County Clerk for payment
~f claims for the condemnation of --~.~roperty for the vridening of Century
oulevard. City Treasurer Reed addressed t.Le Council regarding sar~le.
It was moved by Councilman Kimble and seconded by Councilman
I Anderson th~~.t City Treasurer need be instructed to transfer the Burn of
162,433.0'1 w~:th interest, plus cost, to the County Clerk immediately
i after the expiration of five days from the date of entry of the inter-
loeutary decree in the case City, of Lynwood vs. L. C. Ackley, et al.

partment was received. There being no objection, the ~,yor ordered
same placed on file.

REPORT QF SPECIAL, C0~2It!tITTEES:
ouncilman nimble s aced that they had no report to make regard-
ing the signal at the corner of Fernwood Avenue and Lon~p Beach Boulevard
as s4.me has^`'~een repaired as yet. Considerable discussion was then had
regarding suitable traffic signals and the Riayor appointed Chief of Po-
.,, lice Hogan to look into the matter, of suitable traffic signals and re-
port back.
The City Clerk was instructed to ~~rrite the r'acific Electric
Railroad Company reg~~rding adequate culverts to take care of cox~~ested
water conditions during the rainy seasons.
.huditox° ~'rzncis I~iarshall addressed t~~'le Council re~~;ardir~ the
budget stating that same was ready to be read if the Council wished
same taken up at tills time, but it was decided to rlold same over to
next meeting.

district for the City of Lynwood.
