CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Council Meeting of April 17, 2006, was convened at 6:00 P.M. by Mayor John
Landwehr.
Prayer was offered by Councilman Edith Vogel, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for the roll call:

Absent: None
A quorum was declared present.

COUNCIL LIAISON REPORTS
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 17, 2006 - OLD COUNCIL 2
Councilman Brian Crane announced that the April 18 JCTV Steering Committee meeting
has been rescheduled for May 2 at 5:30 P.M.
ANNOUNCEMENTS OF OTHER UPCOMING MEETING AND EVENTS
Staff gave a brief presentation about the annual citywide spring cleanup and the dates for
the event. The east side of the City will be April 24; the west side of the City will be May 1.
APPOINTMENTS BY THE MAYOR
The following appointments were recommended by Mayor John Landwehr for approval by
the Council:

The candidates were present at the meeting to be introduced. Following their introduction,
a motion was made by Councilman Kevin Brown for approval of the appointments as
recommended, seconded by Councilman Edith Vogel, and approved unanimously.
PRESENTATIONS FROM STAFF, CONSULTANTS & INVITED GUESTS
Community Development Director Pat Sullivan gave background information about the
award recently won by City Employee David Erwin. Mr. Erwin gave some information about
the City's wastewater treatment plant since going online. He stated it has been recognized
as the best in the State of Missouri. Mayor John Landwehr commended Mr. Erwin for being
awarded the Wastewater Treatment Operator of the Year Award and Biosolids Management
Award .
Proclamation Presentation to Bill Case and Nancy Dreisinger - Mayor John Landwehr
presented proclamations and keys to the City to Mr. Case and Ms. Dreisingerforthe efforts
towards the recently approved Highway 179 annexation issue, and thanked them for the

time they put in on this important issue.
Mayoral Commendation to City Staff Assisting in April 11 Presidential Visit: Mayor
John Landwehr commended the following City departments and divisions for their
outstanding work during the April 11 visit to the City by President George W. Bush:

b. Authorizing Aerial Photography Agreement with Cole County
Councilman Kenneth Ferguson stated that the April 3 Council Minutes needed to be
corrected under "New Business" to show that it was Councilman Kevin Brown and not
himself who had asked for a Finance Committee meeting. He then made a to approve the
Consent Agenda with that correction made to the minutes, seconded by Councilman Mike
Harvey, and approved unanimously.

and placed on final passage. Mayor John Landwehr explained some of the minor changes

which have recently been negotiated. Following discussion by the Council, Bill 2005 -168
was then passed by the following roll -call vote as Ordinance 14036:

ADJOURN SINE DIE
There being no further business brought before the Council at this time, a motion was made
by Councilman Dean Martin to adjourn sine die, seconded by Councilman Kenneth
Ferguson, and approved unanimously at 6:30 P.M.
