The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in a special session
at the Gity Hall, 113.31 Plaza Street on above date at 7:30 P. ~,R.
A:~ayor Snodgrass in the chair.
Councilmen ~`Jillia®s, Tweed~7, Anderson, nimble and Snodgrass an-
swered the roll call.
It was moved b~~ Councilman Anderson and seconded by Councilman.

meeting of Povember 5th be dispensed with. z,Iot ion was carried and so or-

1'he call which was served on each member of the Council at least
3 hours prior to said meet, read as follows:
"November 7th, 1930. Dear Sir or Madam:
y You are hereby notified that at 7:30 ~. LI. on above date a spec-
i~l meeting will be held at the City- fiall, 11331 Plaza street for the pur-
e se of hearing the report of the rec~;nt audit of the Cite Books by F. NI.
Donovan ~ Co.; also the construction of a proposed vault by the Southern,
California Edison Co. ~w,est of Long Beach Boulevard on Cherokee St., will
be considered.

~llrs. Martha Loesch addressed the Council relative to a permit de-
sired by the Southern CaT ifornia Edison Co . to construct a vault in the
parking at the rear of Lot 16, ~'ract 5222, stating that it would be sa-
tisfactory with her if the Edison Go. will put their vault in a line with
the :rear property line of said Lot on Cherokee Avenue.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman bnderson and seconded by
Councilman Tweedy that permission be granted to the Southern California
Edison Co . to construct a vault in line with the rear of Lot l6, 2'ract
5222 on Cherokee Avenue.

Councilman i>imble addressed the Council stating; that ;GU~?itor
Francis Marshall and John A. ~,uinn, Count~~ supervisor were down November
4th checking up the matter of adequate drainage along the Pacific Tt:lec-
~ric 3ailroad Company's tracks along ~'ernwood Avenue; also Councilma2
uVilliams stated that a representative of said Company had called on him
and proposed that the County pay one-third of the expense necessarsr for
the construction of adequate drainage , the CitT- of 3~ynwood one-third a.nd
the Pacific L+'lectric Railroad Co. one-third. councilman nimble stated
further that next 4`;.ednesday night at tree meeting of the Council a re-
presentative will be down to submit a proposition. The Ir~ayor Referred
this matter to Engineer Bateman for investigation.
At this time Auditor Francis ~iaxshall proceeded to read the re-
port of the audit of the Cit. Books b~- F. ~. Donovan & Co. After the
report was partly read. Councilman `.Cweedy asked to be excused as he had
made a previous engagement before he knew about the s ecial mee~i which
was granted. After the conclusion of the reading of tphe report o~e
audit Considerable discussion ensued regarding the report and the fol-
lowing addressed the Council regarding same: Mrs. D. Steller, &ir. Lyman
T!Iorgan, I~ur. C. Fisher, T~ir. L. Swaintek.
Thereupon it was moved b~ Councilman -Anderson and seconded by
Councilman ~'imble that the report be accepted and ordered placed on file.
