RusYa Attorney for the plaintiff in the case of the Pacific Financa ~%orporation vs. Cit;; of Zynwood addressed the Council stating th~.t on December 10th, 1928, a judgment was rendered in the Superior Court of thi0 county in favor of the Plaintiff and against the: Cit J; of Lynwood in the sum of 16,354.45 and to date interest has accumulated in the amount of X2,307.78, making the .judgment with accrued interest to date, of 18,662.25, stating fur- ther that this ease is now pending in the Court of Appea3s, stating that he was confident the judgment will be af-_irmed, however, stat- ing th~.t he ~:a~ would like to have the matter settled, offering to settle up in full by not Later than December 27th, 1930, at 15,354.45 in full settle- ment of the judgment. Hunter of a fine paid for violation of the volstead act in the amount of `;56.00 as he was fined outside the City limits stating that the ~%it~;~ cannot impose fines for viola~~ions of sP.id act in another municipa:Tity according to the opinion of the District Attorney's office . Judge C . ~;, Daz= a1- o addressed the Council re- garding sU.id matter, stating tht t ~Tr. Hunter pleaded guilty in Court and paid a fine and received his ree~ipt far same, stating further th~.t there was nothing on the records th~.t showed that .Ir. Hunter was arrested outside of Lynwood; stating that the fine he collected w;~G legal and had turned it over to the Cit; Trea.urer.` -?u~dge C.µ T'.
