Lilienthal J.Raleigh Fountain Also in attendance, - Mayor - Commissioner - Commissioner Town Attorney D. Town Clerk Henry V. Pope and J.Phil Hoyle. Mayor Lindsay called the meeting to order and announced that Stew Stewart B. Iglehart, Curtis H. Dodson, J.Phil Hoyle, John G. Hart and L.Seton Lindsay had been duly elected at the Town Election held on March 1, 1960 to serve as commissioners for a term of three (3) years. The Oath of Office and the Loyalty Oath were administered to Mr. Dodson, ZEOMMI , Mr. Hoyle, Mr. Iglehart and to Mr. Lindsay, Each man was thereupon sworn in as Commissioner. J.Raleigh Fountain was instructed to administer the Oatb of Office and Loyalty Oath to Mr. Hart at a later date. Mr. Iglehart nominated Mr. Lindsay for Mayor. Motion made,n seconded and passed that the nominations cease. Mr. Lindsay received a unanimous vote for mayor, Mr: Dodson nominated Mr. Iglehart for Vice- Mayor. Motion made,seconded and passed that nominations cease. Mr. Iglehart was elected Vice -Mayor by a unanimous vote. Mr: Iglehart nominated Mr Dodson for Town Clerk. Motion made, seconded and passed. Mr. Dodson was unanimously elected Town Clerk. Mr. Iglehart made a motion that J.Raleigh Fountain be appointed Deputy Town Clerk" Tax Assessor, Tax Collector, Town Secretary and Treasurer,Purchasing Agent, Building Inspector and 7.unici1, -s.l Judge. Mr. Hoyle seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. Mr. Dodson made a motion that Mrs. Evelyn Fountain be appointed Clerk of the Municipal Court MIS and Assistant Deputy Town Clerk. Mr. Iglehart seconded and the motion carried unanimously. At the suggestion of Mr. Dodson, Mayor Lindsay appointed Mr. Pope and Mr. Lilienthal a Committee of Two (2) to find out what should be done regarding the completion of the work on Sea Road and the Strip of land on which it rests which belongs to Mrs. Howard Phipps. Mayor Lindsay read the notice from Attorney Wagner regarding the claim for damages against the Town by Mr. & Mrs. Lynch. Mrs. Lynch claims that she was injured by a fall caused by a hole located on the East side of AlA and west of Vista Villas Apartments. J.Raleigh Fountain stated that this hole was not located within the Town Limits. Mr. Lilienthal suggested that a copy of said notice be sent to the Townts Insurer. J.Raleigh Fountain said that he would see that this was done. i SPECIAL CO. COPY RESOLUTION NUMBER 497 IS HEREBY MADE A PART OF THESE MINUTES. The Commissioners thereupon signed the signature cards and the Resolution Forms. Mayor Lindsay asked that Mr. D.dson and 'r. Hart have their report ready for the next Commission meeting which would be the April 9th meeting.
