that it is not necessary for tl~e curb to be painted red near afire hy_
drant, as Section 138 of t~,e Califor•r_ia I:Iotor Vehicle Act makes it un-
lawrful for any one to part ~F.lithin 15 feet, ~~rhether it is paintedr.ed or
not, and that we now have an ordinance covering some of the red ~~ones,
sugg~ ting that sa~~1e be amended to meet pre:~ -nt needs. Thereupon the
Mayor- referred the matter back to Chief Bailey to g~;t eyact descriptions
to be inserted into an Ordinance to cover sa~~e.
