M. Mayor Decker in the chair. Councilmen ~~jJilliams, Davies, Grayson and Decker answered the roll call. Councilman Snyder was absent, It was moved by Councilman ~'Jilliams and seconded by Councilman Davies that the reading of the minutes of the previous regular meeting of April 5th, 1932, be dispensed with to th.e nett regular meeting. boll Call: Ayes : Councilmen ~"Jilliams, Davies, Grayson and ?decker. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Snyder. It was moved by Councilrrian Davies and seconded by Councilman ~Jil- liams that the returns of the general municipal election held in the City of Lynvrood on Monday, April 11th, 1932, be canvassed. moll Call: Ayes: Councilmen V~illians, Davies, Grayson and Decker. Noes: None. Absent: Councilman ~~nyder. There being no objection, the Mayor appointed Councilmen Davies and Grayson to act as Tellers during the canvass. At 7.45 Councilman Snyder Thereupon the canvass proceeded. arrived and tookhis seat at the The Tellers reported that the num~°erno~'lvo~`esecast in the various precints was as set forth in the Resolution proposed to be adopted and as reported by the election officers in the various precincts, that the naves of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted, the number of votes given in each precinct to each of said persons, together tivith the whole number o~ votes which they received in the entire city and the total number of votes asst in said City, to be as follows:- The whole number of votes cast in said City was 1355. Tl~ereunon it was moved by Councilman Davies and seconded by Councilman ~'lilli~=ms that said Resolution No. 802 be adopted. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen '~"lilliams, Davies, Grayson, Snyder and Tjecker. Noes: I~~one. .J Thereupon the City Clerk presented the Certificates of Elec- tion to Messr;. Mont '~Jilliams, John H. Grayson and Cecil E. Snyder, the elected Councilmen and imposed the constitutional oath of office ~~n d had same subscribed to, ;Thereupon they vaere inducted into office. Councilman Decker addressed the Council to the effect that he has appreciated the cooperation of all members of the Council c=uring the past year eery much, stating that he hoped that the members will work to- ~-ether as ~,ve11 in the future as they have in the past, stating that it was in order to election a Chairman of the Council who will be Mayor of the City of Lynwood. ~i'hereupon it was moved by Councilman Grayson and seconded by Councilman ~~i.lliams that Councilm~ Decker be re-elected chairman of the Council and Mayor of the :pity of Lynwood. Roll Call: Ayes: Councilmen -,''illi~r~s, Davies, Grayson,Snyder and Decker. Noes: None. Councilman Grayson addressed the Council commending Mayor Decker upon his Executive ability. Mayor Decker addressed the Council thanking .for the Honor of electing him Mayor, and also thanking all the candidates for Council- men fnr the clean manner in ?~hich they carried on the~.r campaign. Councilmen ','1i113.ams and Snyder also expressed appreciation to the can- didates for the clean campaign they ca~~ried on. There being no further business, it was duly moved by Coun- cilman Davies that the meeting adjou~~n to April 19th, 1932, at 7: 30 P. M., which was duly secondedby Covncilman 4'Yilliams.
