AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
REVALUATION APPRAISAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional appraisal services to
conduct a real property revaluation within the Borough of Carteret pursuant to the
authority of the Middlesex County Tax Board; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has previously solicited proposals to provide said professional
revaluation services pursuant to NJSA 19:44A -20.5, et seq., in accordance with the Borough's
fair and open process; and
WHEREAS, Realty Appraisal Co. of 4912 Bergenline Avenue, Nest New York, New Jersey
07093 submitted the most favorable response to the Borough's Request for Proposals for said
revaluation services in the amount of Three Hundred and Ninety Thousand Dollars
($390,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
I. The proposal from Realty Appraisal Co. for professional revaluation services at a total
cost not to exceed Three Hundred and Ninety Thousand Dollars ($390,000.00) is hereby
approved, all in accordance with the Borough's Request for Proposals and Realty's
response to the same.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to a fair
and open process provided for in accordance with NJSA 19:44A -20.5, et seq..
1 That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
Realty Appraisal Co. for the above described professional revaluation services.
4. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Law Director to
forward to Realty Appraisal Co, with a copy to the Borough's Purchasing Department.
